KITCHEN COLOUR palettes have been leaning away from the bright, stark white of years past to softer tones. Cambria’s recent release of four new designs includes two soft, creamy patterns we think are gorgeous.
“Ruxley” features subtle emerald green veining (decreed by designers as de rigueur for 2021) set against a creamy white background. Cambria’s Executive Vice President of Design Summer Kath adds, “We strategically sprinkled in just a few cool white veins, interspersed throughout, that will complement cooler elements in an existing design, like a white subway tile backsplash, without overdoing it.”
“Kendal” features a smooth, soft teal palette—coincidentally matching Benjamin Moore’s 2021 Colour of the Year Aegean Teal—swirled against a cool white background. Inspired by the colour and movement of the Aegean Sea in Greece, the soft teal of Kendal mimics water, creating an interesting marbled look. The sprinkled silver crystals throughout create depth and look like floating crystals and seashells in the sea. The teal shade teams beautifully with neutrals, like warm beiges and soft cream hues, while the subtle undertones ensure spaces retain a sophisticated feel. cambriausa.com
