HOPSON GRACE, the niche retail concept specializing in tableware and home accessories, opened a seasonal store in cottage country for the first time. Hopson Grace Muskoka is the Toronto-based retailer’s second store, having opened its doors in the Rosedale-Summerhill neighbourhood in 2015.
“From residents to cottagers and tourists from around the globe, Muskoka has established itself among the world’s most iconic summer retreats,” says Martha Grace McKimm, co-founder. “We’re excited to become a part of its vibrant community.” Located at 103 Maple Street in Port Carling, Hopson Grace will offer many of the same unique and exclusive brands sold in the retailer’s Toronto location, with a focus on more casual, seasonal offerings. This includes a new line of shatter-free dinnerware and glassware, along with other items perfect for lunch on the dock, cottage dinner parties and days out on the boat. New and exclusive to Muskoka is Mad et Len, a line of scented candles made in France’s Provencal mountains. The line’s hand-blended scents are derived from organic essential oils and encased in wrought-iron black steel apothecary bottles. Hopson Grace Muskoka will be open through the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.
